I invite nominations for trialists for the Marlborough Primary Schools Seddon Shield Under 52kg rugby team The team will be selected by trial on Wednesday 8 May 2018 1pm at Landsdowne Park. Players will also be observed in the first rounds of club competition.  
 
The tournament takes place during the second week of the July holiday period in Blenheim and is strictly for players who are under 52kgs at the time of the tournament. 
 
Most children nominated are either Year 7 or Year 8. They really do have to have exceptional talent if a Year 6. To make our selection process as easy as possible please only nominate your top players, and consider what position they are playing as it is quite common to get a large number of players wanting to be in a certain position. Unfortunately, we can’t all play 1st Five, and the reality is that we can only give a certain number of children an opportunity at one position in the trial.
 
Due to health concerns around children dieting, only children weighing less than  55kg (ie. 54kg or less) on the day of the first trial will be considered for selection.
