For our fourth season year we have added a Mountain Bike option. Same run course but with a testing MTB ride in the middle.


These are no pressure events! If you are a beginner, then do not fear, you are not alone! You can run, walk, crawl or grovel your way around the run course, and as long as you have a safe bike and a helmet you're good to go.
A kids race (12 and under) will also be held at the conclusion of the adults race at all five events.

Well done to  Minnette, Zac, Zoe and Jacob (not shown) for representing RVS at the Marlborough Schools Swimming Champs last week.  Special congratulations to Minnette who won first overall in the Year 6 girls breaststroke.

These school holidays we will be running holiday programmes for any interested Y1-8 netballers.
The allocated day will include:

• Ball skills, catching and passing.
• Correct shooting technique (for their age)
• Balance
• Defensive
• Take Off
• Pivoting
• Dodging and much more
• Plus mini games.

 
This will be ran like a circuit so will have allocated time slots at each session and then everyone will come together for game time where they will be split off into small teams.
Each participant will need to bring:

1. Suitable clothing and footwear.
2. Drink bottle and lunch
3. Possible change of clothes if for any reasons the weather changes.

 
All netball gear will be supplied by Marlborough netball.

ASB Holiday Fun Football
April SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
3 DAY WORKSHOP
 
New Zealand Football has put together an action packed holiday programme for kids. It’s a great way for young players to have fun and develop their local football skills.

• Available over 3 days  – register for individual days or the full 3 day programme
• Suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years, (both boys and girls).
• Each session includes skill-based training, so kids can learn the tricks and techniques to become better players.

​If, as a parent, you are interested in finding out more about junior netball you are invited to come along and observe sessions run by the Netball Development Officer with students at RVS.  This will be especially useful if you are interested in doing some coaching or managing and wish to increase your knowledge and confidence.
 
The date of the NDO visit is Wednesday 9th March at RVS.
