As we remain in Alert Level 1 we need to be mindful of the following The Golden Rules for everyone at Alert Level 1. 🤧 1. If you’re sick, stay home. 🤧 2. If you have cold or flu symptoms call your doctor or Healthline and make sure you get tested. 3. Wash your hands. Wash your hands. Wash your hands. 🧻 4. Sneeze and cough into your elbow, and regularly disinfect shared surfaces ❌ 5. No spitting nor Bushman's nose blowing at all. 🥤 6. Pick up all your water bottles and dispose of in the bins provided. 7. If you are told by health authorities to self-isolate you must do so immediately. ❌ 8. Don't share drink bottles, facemasks or gloves. 9. We have received a QR Code via the Ministry of Health QR Code and this will be up down by the kitchen. Games for year 3/4 and 5/6 will be 20 min halves with 2 min half time. In order for games to start on time we would like teams who are about to play to enter the field from the dugout side and those finished playing can leave via grandstand side. Please make sure your team is on that dugout side together and ready to go, this is also a good warm up spot. Hi All,
Due to numbers of players registered for the school coaching sessions we will be combining all Wed and Thur groups to Wed 3.30pm. Those schools are St Marys / Fairhall / RV / Riverlands / Rapaura / Home Schooled. If you have players who have not registered but are keen please get them to sign up ASAP. We hope you are looking forward to being at the turf for the first time in a while. As this is the first week for us being open to large groups we would appreciate your patience and please follow these simple guidelines to help make the afternoon run smoothly.

Starting the Game
We are excited to announce that the junior games will begin again on Monday 15th June, and run until the end of Term 3. Please see attached for information and team entry sheets. If you have not done so please send these in, or send in a new one if you have updated numbers/teams. Parents need to register their kids online which they can do by clicking on this link and then click on your school or club http://www.hockeymarlborough.org.nz/registrations-1/club-school-list Contact Tracing. We have set up a contactless tracing which will require all players, officials and supports/parents to sign in upon entry to the turf. It is a very simple app, which hopefully you will be using more than once around the Marlborough region. What you will need to do is
We will be conducting a major clean prior to opening the gates to the public. We will also be cleaning throughout the evening when games are being played or training is being undertaken. The changing rooms and showers will be closed, for the short term at least, and the dugs out will have limited space. There will be hand sanitiser around the turf which you are to use on your arrival and the bathrooms will have soap and paper towels. Attached are the Hockey New Zealand guidelines we will be following as we return to the game. Mass Gatherings We will be working hard to ensure that the number of players and supporters stay low. We will therefore be asking for only 1 caregiver/supporter per family to be down at the turf, please do not bring the whole family along. Depending on our numbers of players/teams will depend on our draws and how we play. We will aiming to keep games as much the same as possible, however this will depend on team entries. More information will come as we progress along but for now we are working on getting back up and running. If you have any questions please do not hesitate in contacting me. Kinds regards, George Nation Administration and Accounts Hi All, Thank you for registering for the upcoming Interschool Summer Hockey Festival. Please see attached for the draw and for those that registered as individuals, or schools without enough for a team, the team list we have put together. If there is anyone who I have missed please let me know ASAP as I will fit you in. Those teams will need to wear a shirt the same colour as the team name, however there will be bibs available should they be required. Emma will be down there on Monday night organising it and there will be extra umpires there to help with the teams while on the field. The Year 7-10 competition will be ½ Field (rather than ¼ which is year 3/4 and 5/6 Competition) The rules are attached for your record as well. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate in contacting myself or Emma. Kinds regards, George Nation Administration and Accounts |
