Info on Attendance

​Attendance affects learning.  This is not something new.  It’s a fact.

Schools are required to identify and record learner attendance, patterns of non-attendance, and the reasons for non-attendance.

Please ensure that if your child is going to be absent you contact the school office as soon as possible. This can be done via email, the school App or by telephoning the office.

Should a pattern of absences emerge, it is the schools responsibility to follow up on this. At RVS we recognize that some pupils may have a legitimate reason for a pattern of absences and for those children a discussion with the parents/caregivers of that child should have already taken place.

Families who wish to take children out of school for holiday reasons must first seek the approval from the School Principal.
