Hello RVS Community
I hope and pray you managed to sleep a little better last night, I certainly did. I spent time talking with the school this morning and reminded them of Psalm 55v22. Cast your cares on the Lord, and he will sustain you; He will never let, the righteous be shaken. I encouraged the students to continue to pray and 'cast their cares' on Him. Also to feel free to talk things through with friends, teachers or myself. As I'm writing this the students are in their classes happily in the daily routine of learning, which is a great place to be. The event of Monday morning and the ongoing aftershocks have led to several key decisions being made. I believe it is impossible to under-react when it comes to the safety of our young people. In a time when careful and steady is called for we have decided to not send our seniour students to technology today and to postpone our trip to Waikawa Marae that was planned for tomorrow. We hope for the Waikawa Marae trip to happen in Term 1, 2017 instead. We will decide early next week whether the Year 7-8 Camp will go ahead. Please note that the District Athletics has also been cancelled. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for reading and passing on important information that you find either on this website, via the app, via Facebook or email. Please continue to check this site for information and download the app if you have to capability and have not yet done so already. Most important to us here at RVS is our open door policy. Please communicate with your child's teacher if you feel there is information that would be beneficial for their teacher to know. My door is always open too. God Bless Dave Pauling - Principal Comments are closed.
