Devo's, Wk1, T2, 2016

tWelcome back to Term 2 RVS Community!  I hope you had a fantastic holiday and I am looking forward to a busy, productive term with you all.  

This morning in Devotions we talked about the fact that you can rely on two things to remain constant on this planet: God and change.  God is kind, loving, slow to anger and merciful.  It is great that He doesn't change.  Things around us do change though, and we discussed not being worried about these changes, because God holds us and our future safely in His hands, both individually and as a school.  Some of the exciting changes at RVS include Room 3A with Mrs Crossley in the library, Mrs Powell overseeing Room 3, a beautiful new door between Room 1 and Room 2 and six new faces around the school.  Take a look around next time you are in.

Some of the other big events for this term include:-

• Science Fair - within classrooms as well as LEGS focus
• Board of Trustees elections
• Cycle safety
• Music Academy assembly
• Chess Power competition, hosted by RVS
• Enviro-schools inquiry, looking at future property implications

It is important as we grow and change that we keep some things sacred, such as that fact that God is the head of this house, that ongoing good communication is reciprocal and very important, and that we all have an important role to play in educating our young people.  What a great term it is going to be.
