There will not be a formal homework programme this term. However, if students can access Mathletics at home I will be regularly setting tasks that relate to the topic we are studying in class. A target for students to aim for is 1000 points a week.
Please encourage your son or daughter to be reading every evening at home. This could either be a chapter book, or non fiction on a topic that interests them. Students may bring one of their school library books home each week. At Year 6 and 7 the emphasis is on improving comprehension skills, so you might like to ask your son or daughter some questions about what they are reading. From time to time there may be specific tasks, or unfinished work, that they will be asked to complete at home. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with me, or come and see me after school. Thank you for your on-going support at home. Comments are closed.
