This week students have a new homework activity, which is to prepare a 2 minute speech about something they are interested in. They will present it to Room 5 one morning next week, so they should be prepared from Tuesday onwards. If students wish to make a Slides presentation or use photographs to support their speech they may do so. Please help by listening to them practice at home. This will be the last homework for the term. Thank you for the support you have given with homework.
There is some fantastic research and investigation being carried out by students for their science fair projects. Just a reminder that all students should have carried out the majority of their experiments by the end of the term. This means they will have time and opportunity to complete further testing if necessary, or for writing up their results, over the holidays. Our mini school science fair will be in week 5 of Term 3 (21st August). Carrying out an investigation and participating in Science fair is compulsory for all Room 5 and 6 students, as it is part of our science curriculum this year. I have attached the original letter for your information, but if you have any further questions please come and see me or email me. Thank you for your support at home. Last term every student in Room 5 learnt their Term Scripture and it would be fantastic if we could achieve this again in Term 2. Please encourage or assist your son or daughter with learning scripture if possible. Thank you.
Well done to all the Room 5 students who have said their Term 2 memory verse. The final date for memorising the scripture is Wednesday 28th June. If anybody is struggling to learn the verse, please let me know.
