Welcome to Term 4, 2019
Hello everyone! I am returning to my regular job of Depute Principal/Class Teacher as from Week 1 of Term 4! YIPPEE! I have missed my 'Chickens' so much. They have grown in so many ways.
I'd like to take this chance to thank Mrs Van Der Vyver for her energy, enthusiasm and love for the children. She has been such a blessing to our school.
So what's happening in Term 4?
Remember it's summer term so all children need a school hat and sandals. Children can bring a roll on sun block to school if you wish. This can be applied by your child during lunch and playtimes. Please explain to your child how to use this.
Our overall theme is God is Faithful. We will be looking at what it means to be faithful and how God our Father has shown his faithfulness to us and how some of the characters in the Bible showed their faithfulness to Him.
Our Social Science and Science topic this Term will be around the upcoming Tuia 250 celebrations here in New Zealand. We will be investigating what it must have been like on board HMS Endeavour and the travels Captain James Cook took around New Zealand and the Pacific. We will also be looking at how the early explorers used the stars to navigate their routes.
PE - Please note that children will NOT require their PE kit until Week 4. PE will be on a Wednesday afternoon.
Rooms 3 & 4 will be working together on our piece for the end of year prizegiving. ALL CHILDREN are to attend the end of year prizegiving.
End of year reports will be issued in the last week of this term.
Once again Logan and I thank you for your continued support.
