As part of this terms Healthy Eating topic, Room 3 and 4 made fruit kebabs and fruit salad. Many children tried fruit they hadn't tried before or didn't really like.
Ask your child to explain what 5+ a day means! Last week, Room 3 conducted an experiment to observe how the stem of a plant transfers liquid up the stem. We used celery sticks and red food colouring. The children were very surprised to see the red food colouring come to the top of the celery stick after about 5minutes!
The boys writing group made wooden boats with Mr Elwood this week. They wrote a set of instructions for how to make them. The girls of Room 3 & 4 have been learning how to write a set of instructions. This week, they made bracelets and wrote instructions for how to make them. It was lots of fun! Here are some photos.
The Illustrators reading group has been reading the story 'James & the Giant Peach.' They have also been making models of some of the characters/insects from the story. Here are a few photos!
