In week 5, Year 9 left for four days to go on their first school camp together, at Whenua Iti. This camp was all about working together, getting to know each other, building trust with all the other students and growing in our relationship with Christ.
Going on Camp was an amazing experience for us all to bond, and get to know more about each other. During the camp we had amazing opportunities to try new things, and challenge ourselves. Such as activities like Rock climbing, Raft building, Kayaking, Abseiling, and Some trust building adventure based learning challenges. The classes top three activities of the week were Rock climbing, The beach day and Flying kiwi/Abseiling We all had so many great opportunities on camp. We think we can all say that this camp has definitely accomplished its purpose, Friendships were formed, bonds became stronger, and overall we all had so much fun and we are all really excited for our next school camp. Also this week on Wednesday year 9 went to their first session at the Marlborough technology centre. We have just started food technology, and have begun making healthy choices of fruit drinks. We started off with a grape and lemon flavoured syrup, And let some of the classes in our school sample the new drink. Overall we all really enjoyed our amazing past two weeks, and we hope you enjoyed reading about all the fun stuff we’ve done. Have a look through some of the best images from our time on camp.
