Dear Parent/Caregiver, As part of our Outdoor Education plan at Richmond View School, we would like to take the Year 8 students for a day tramp in the Marlborough Sounds. We will walk from Ship Cove to Furneaux Lodge, a distance of around 12 km. The tramp will take place on Friday 3rd May. Students will be accompanied by Mrs Johnson and Mr Adamson but would like to ask for the help of any parents who would be available to support with this. We expect that we would depart school at 8am and would return at approximately 5pm. The cost for the trip is $60 which includes the return boat trip. Students would need to ensure that they have the following: Comfortable clothing suitable for tramping:
Please could you complete the permission slip on the bottom of this letter and have your student return it to school before the end of week 10 (Friday 5th April). Those students not attending this activity will be placed with other classes for the day with suitable work set. I give permission for _____________________________________to take part in the tramp on 3rd May and I am confident in their fitness level to complete 12km. I would like to be considered to assist with this activity as an active parent helper and can assist with transport to Picton. Yes I can transport ……….students. No I cannot assist. If there are any medical issues that we should know about to be able to best support your child, please add them here: __________________________________________________________________________ to edit. |
