Our scripture for term 1:
Ephesians 4 1-9 Unity and Maturity in the Body of Christ4 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it[a] says: “When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.”[b] 9 (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions[c]?
Each student will receive a stationery pack on their first day, this will be charged to your school account. Students will only need to bring a pencil case from home. Ordering stationery as a school brings the cost down considerably for our families. We also encourage all students from Years 7 upwards to begin using their own laptop at school. We strongly recommend you consider this option for your child as the use of such devices allows our students to access a wide range of opportunities for learning which are beyond the walls of the classroom. Students using devices are able to collaborate in solving real-world problems and to develop the essential learning skills that are needed for life in the 21st Century.
Athletics rotations will take place every Tuesday and Wednesday of term 4 weeks 1-3. Please ensure your child has correct PE uniform. Students bring their uniform and change during lunch break.
Students will attend the Technology Centre on Mondays week 1 and week 2 of term 4. This concludes their lessons for the year.
Year 8 John 1;1-14
Year 7 Philippians 4 ;4-9 Students need to learn their scripture by the end of week 7 please. |
