Hi to all,
It's hard to believe we're looking at the end of term three already! It's been a busy term and a term of growth, both in the classroom and in creation around us. What a term to have been studying God's creative side as we watch creation blossom outside. It is great to have all of Room 4 now completed their memory verses for the term. Great achievement! We have had a great success with the focus on spelling this term, many thanks for the consistency from parents with the homework for this. There has been a lot of growth for students and this growth being tracked by students as they graph their own progress week to week. It is a pleasure to see how well this program is working and how well it has been engaged with. The consistency with reading at home is also appreciated. It is great to see the growth in student's comprehension skills between testing earlier in the year and the current testing I have just made a start on. The effort from home helps hugely with that growth! Please continue the hard work and make it a regular occurrence to hear your child read out loud, followed by asking them some questions that quiz their understanding and if possible, require them to 'read between the lines'. We are looking forward to fundamentals next week. What a fun way to finish a great term. Please can you ensure that permission slips for this come back early this week. Students have been reminded of this. PE kit should be worn to school for Monday to Thursday next week, with togs, towel and goggles packed too. Look forward to speaking soon! Mr Brown. |
