Over the last few days the young men in Room 3 A have been tackling some Rich Maths Learning tasks.
They had to work together to solve a really challenging problem. You will find it below and some photos of their team work and solutions. Wow! Welcome to Week 2!
This week there are a few important things to note - Tuesday YEAR 4 ONLY - come to school in PE kit, with bikes, helmets and sneakers. Thursday YEAR 5 ONLY - come to school in PE kit, with bikes, helmets and sneakers. Assessments will be carried out this week and next. These happen twice per year and form a part of your child's attainment level. Teachers gather a huge amount of evidence from your child's classwork and through observations, BEFORE making a final professional Overall Teacher's Judgement in relation to National Standards. Please feel free to come and talk with me about these. Class Dojo is up and running and seems to be working well. Thank you for your help in setting this up. Our Homework project started last week Thank you again, for encouraging your child to take part in this. Mr. Elwood will be taking Room 3A each Tuesday afternoon as I fulfill my in-school role as Lead Teacher for the Community of Schools initiative. I have asked Mr. Elwood to utilise the KIDZ SHED with our boys so there will be lot of sawing, cutting, hammering and 'mens things' happening!! As a class we will be having our lunch together each day. We have a kettle here in Room 3A so I have encouraged the children to bring in cup a soups or noodles if they would like something hot - sorry no microwave!! WoW! Thank you for these amazing young men! May God bless you and your family! Francesca Crossley |
