Staffing changes for 2025

Kia ora Community,

It is quite clear that Richmond View School is heading into a new season with different changes on the horizon.  We have had little staff movement over the years but are seeing some movement at the end of this year.  We honour leaving staff, pray for new staff and God has always supplied all of our needs.

You will already be aware of the changes to the Principal and Deputy Principal. 

​We are also farewelling Mrs Sarah Diekema at the end of the year.  She is heading to Auckland where her and her husband take up jobs at St Kentigerns School.  Sarah has spent five years at Richmond View School and we will certainly miss her.  She has been in the school for many of its significant growth years and leaves a legacy as she moves on.  Thank you and God bless you.

Also leaving us is Mr and Mrs Olliver.  The Ollivers have been with us for 3 years and we appreciate/honour you for your time here.  Both Jenny and Peter have taught for 47 faithful years now and while Jenny will be stepping back a little more, Peter will continue on at Marlborough Boy's College.  Congratulations to you both, thank you and God bless you.

​Anna Muir's role at RVS is also up for change.  The Muir's have made a family call and she is needed more in Christchurch at the moment.  Her dynamic, positive presence will be missed here at RVS.  We hope to see her back at some point and she may well be.  Thank you and God bless you Anna.

It is quite normal for there to be staff movement in a school.  We are sad whenever we lose a member of our staff 'family' and pray blessing for them and their family's futures.  We will advertise and know that God's providence has brought spectacular people to RVS and continues to do so.

Today is Junior School Book Day and the costumes are fantastic.  Such life and joy.  I am also looking forward to next week, a big week for our Senior School as it readies for exams, has its prizegiving night on Tuesday and the Y12/13 Graduation/Leavers dinner on Friday evening.
